Measuring and Installation

Remember that Shutterking shutters are guaranteed for 40 years against discolouration and cracking. Therefore, once they are installed correctly you should have no further problems.

Measuring

Shutters are available in two width sizes only, 12” or 14.5” (304mm and 365mm). Taller longer windows will normally benefit from the wider option whereas shorter windows on the whole look better with the smaller width size. However, remember that there must be sufficient space on each side of your window to accommodate the shutters.

The length of the shutter will largely depend on the size of your window. Measure the size of the window and choose the appropriate length from our 12 length options.

Please note: You will need to be aware of any obstacles that may impede the fitting of the shutter and adjust your sizing accordingly. Items such as these are lintels, windowsills, fascia’s etc., then choose the appropriate colour for your property and on arrival of your shutters you are ready to install them.

Installation

All shutters supplied by Shutterking come complete with all necessary fixing items and a complete set of fixing instructions. Fixing could not be simpler and the customer will normally only need a drill, measuring tape and hammer to install quickly and easily.
